WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT
Steroids are widely used by podiatrists, orthopedics, and physiotherapists to treat complex and non-complex musculoskeletal conditions, reducing pain, stiffness, and inflammation, and improving mobility.
HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NEEDED? One session is typically needed. If the pain returns after a while, more sessions may be considered.

ARE STERIOD INJECTIONS PAINFUL? Most of our techniques are performed under local anesthetic, so the pain will be minimised. The local administration of the steroid may be combined with anesthetic to reduce post-injection discomfort. Mild to moderate discomfort might be felt at the injection site after the anesthetic wears off, but your podiatrist will advise you on how to reduce this.

NEW PATIENT: You will be assessed and diagnosed. Your medical history and current medications will be reviewed, and a customized treatment plan will be set for you.

REPEAT APPOINTMENT: If a previous treatment was successful, nothing has changed in your medical background, and you require an extra session, it can be performed in the same way as the first injection.
